The word "love" can mean a lot of things. More often than not, it's a sign of serious commitment, that his feelings run deep and that he's looking at your relationship as something for the long-term. If he says it, "he might think that he'll suddenly become responsible for you and your happiness, so he'll wait until he's sure he can live up to that. So be glad that he doesn't take the L word too lightly, or use it too readily. It's not that he's thinking of himself - he's actually thinking of you. --- Cosmo, August 2008
